CGT’s Executive Director, Clint Free served with Trinity Family Ministries in Mobile, Alabama. After four years with Trinity Family, Clint felt called to start a similar ministry in the city of Troy, Alabama.
Clint and his wife, Alyssa, both graduates of Troy University, had always had a special place in their heart for Troy and moved back in 2019.
Working with a group of Troy citizens that also felt the Lord stirring their hearts for unity and to love the under-served in the Troy, they partnered with Common Ground Montgomery to start the newest Common Ground expansion in 2019.
Clint was an intern with CGM before graduating Troy University.

Major is CGT’s program coordinator. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, he attended Robert E. Lee High School and then received a bachelor of science in degree, and later an education specialist degree, from Alabama State University. He also received a master's degree from Troy University and a master's degree in theology from Birmingham Theological Seminary. He spent 38 years in education where he carried various roles. He has been a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal all in the Pike County School system.
Major has been married for 40+ years to his wife, Peggy, and they have three daughters.
He joined CGT staff in August 2021.
Kyle Nixon

Kyle Nixon, CGT’s Director of Programs, is originally from Ft. Valley, Georgia. Kyle is a recent Troy University graduate majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies. He played football for Troy from 2017-2021.
During the summer of 2021, he interned with CGT and was greatly impacted by it; so much that he knew he wanted to work on staff with CGT.
Kyle joined CGT’s staff in January 2022.
Grace Everage

Grace Everage, Academic Coordinator, graduated from Samford University, with certifications in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, and Elementary Collaborative Education. She also received her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education.
Grace taught at Troy Elementary School from 2017-2022. Grace is married to Jonathan Everage.
Andrew Clem

Andrew Clem joined our staff as the Assistant Director of Programs. Andrew graduated from Troy University in 2022 with a degree in Business Marketing. During the Fall of 2023, Andrew joined our staff in a part-time role but quickly saw the vision for the youth in CGTs program. Andrews's primary focus is on our after-school biblical and mentorship.
Andrew was elevated to full-time in the fall of 2023.
